I welcome the recent government investment in skills training including £4.3 million in local Skills Bootcamps. But I want to do more to ensure we are helping people get better, well paid jobs locally. I will secure more investment to support retraining and school leaver apprenticeships by working with local education providers, government and our growing industries such as digital, transport and the renewable energy sector.
